How long will it take to get my order?
That depends on the shipping option you choose at check out. Economy shipping is through USPS. I will fulfill the order within 24 hours and deliver it to the post office. After that, it’s up to the schedule and speed of the USPS. If you want or need your order quicker, other options are available at check out. If you're lucky enough to live in the Denton/Frisco/Little Elm area, I do have pick up. You can choose to pick up your order.
How are your products different from the soap I get at the grocery store?
First, you can pronounce every ingredient that goes into my soap and bath bombs. I use a blend of five plant oils, lye (sodium hydroxide), and fragrance oil. That's it. These oils have been meticulously selected for their benefits to the skin. Sugar scrub does contain a few ingredients that may be hard to pronounce but they are derived from the coconut. My products contain oils that are plant based and I NEVER use palm oil.
What's so bad about palm oil?
According to Ecosia, rainforests have been deforested and replaced with vast palm oil plantations. In these man-made monocultures, local wildlife can't survive, and the palm trees' roots soak up huge amounts of water, destroying the soil. It's not the tree that's bad, it's the destruction of the rainforests to grow the tree that's bad. There are responsibly harvested palm oils so do your research before buying products that contain palm oil.
What are the benefits of hemp seed oil?
According to healthline.com, a 2011 study suggests that omega-3s, such as those found in hemp seed oil can reduce inflammation that contributes to cancer and heart disease. Research from other studies also suggests that omega-3s and omega-6s in hemp seed oil me be effective in treating a number of skin conditions, including:
- Acne
- Eczema
- Psoriasis
- Lichen planus
Additional research indicates that the many nutrients contained in hemp seed oil can contribute to stronger skin that is more resistant to viral, bacterial, and fungal infections. Hemp seed oil also contains gamma linolenic acid (GLA) which assists in the production of a chemical that decrease symptoms of premenstrual syndrome.
Can hemp seed oil make me high? Does it contain THC?
Hemp and marijuana are two different species of the Cannabis sativa plant. Hemp seed oil is made by pressing the seeds of hemp plants. These plants have virtually no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychotropic compound present in high levels in the marijuana plant. Short answer: No. It cannot make you high and does not contain THC.
